Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) ubiquitously expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising approximately 10% of all surface proteins in lymphocytes. It is absent on non-hematopoietic cell lines and tissues, both normal and malignant. CD45 plays a critical role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, functioning as a regulator of Src-family kinases. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. CD45 isoforms exhibit cell-type and physiological state-dependent expression and are key regulators of T- and B-cell receptor signaling, cytokine receptor pathways, and integrin-mediated signal transduction.
