Target Information
TMPRSS6 (Matriptase 2)는 type II transmembrane serine protease로, type I collagen, fibronectin, fibrinogen 등의 단백질을 가수분해합니다. 또한 urokinase-type plasminogen activator를 낮은 효율로 활성화할 수 있으며, 간의 matrix remodeling 과정에 관여합니다. TMPRSS6는 철 결핍 감지에 필요하며, 과발현 시 HAMP 프로모터의 활성화를 억제합니다.
