Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of a family of RNA-binding proteins with three RNA recognition motifs (RRMs). It binds adenine- and uridine-rich elements in mRNA and pre-mRNAs across a wide range of genes, regulating translational control, splicing, and apoptosis. Alternate splice variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized, which exhibit distinct post-transcriptional silencing functions.
