Target Information
FceR1 (Fc epsilonR1 alpha) is a subunit of the high-affinity receptor for IgE. It forms a tetrameric complex consisting of one alpha, one beta, and two additional subunits required for signal transduction. This receptor plays a key role in allergic responses by coupling allergen-bound IgE molecules to mast cells, leading to the release of mediators such as histamine. These mediators trigger inflammatory responses characteristic of allergic disorders such as hay fever and asthma.
