Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

eIF3D is a protein belonging to the largest subunit family of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor-3 (eIF3) complex, which consists of at least 13 different subunits.
It binds to the 40S ribosomal subunit, maintaining the 40S and 60S subunits in a dissociated state.
eIF3D plays a critical role in forming the 40S initiation complex through interaction with the ternary complex (eIF2/GTP/methionyl-tRNA) and promotes mRNA binding.
As the major RNA-binding subunit of eIF3, eIF3D associates with the p170 subunit and is ubiquitously expressed in most tissues.
It becomes phosphorylated upon DNA damage, likely by ATM or ATR.
