CNOT7 (CCR4-NOT transcription complex subunit 7)는 합성 poly(A) RNA 기질에 대한 3'-5' poly(A) exoribonuclease 활성을 가지며, CNOT8과 부분적으로 중복된 기능을 수행합니다. CCR4-NOT 복합체의 촉매 구성 요소로서, mRNA 분해, miRNA 매개 억제, 번역 개시 시의 억제, 그리고 전사 조절 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다. 또한 BTG 계열 단백질(TOB1, BTG2 등)과 결합하여 항증식 활성을 발휘합니다.
