Target Information
The signal sequence receptor (SSR) is a glycosylated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane receptor associated with protein translocation across the ER membrane.
It consists of two subunits: a 34-kDa glycoprotein encoded by this gene and a 22-kDa glycoprotein.
This gene produces several mRNA species through complex alternative polyadenylation and uniquely utilizes arrays of non-canonical polyA signal sequences.
