Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Nogo-A and rhNogo-B is observed.
- Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.
Target Information
NogoA is a member of the reticulon family of integral membrane proteins, implicated in various neurodegenerative disorders. Reticulon proteins regulate numerous cellular processes and interact with proteins such as BACE. NogoA acts as a myelin-associated neurite outgrowth inhibitor and is highly expressed in oligodendrocytes in the CNS white matter. Blocking NogoA activity can enhance axon regrowth and functional recovery in CNS lesion models. Elevated NogoA levels have been observed in neurodegenerative diseases such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Multiple Sclerosis, where autoantibodies to NogoA are found in patient samples.
