Target Information
DQX1 (DEAQ box RNA-dependent ATPase 1), also known as FLJ23757, is a 71 amino acid protein containing one helicase ATP-binding domain and one helicase C-terminal domain. It is localized to the nucleus and catalyzes ATP hydrolysis to ADP and phosphate.
DQX1 is expressed as three isoforms produced by alternative splicing and is encoded on human chromosome 2, which represents approximately 8% of the human genome and contains over 1,400 genes. Genetic disorders linked to chromosome 2 include Harlequin ichthyosis, sitosterolemia, and Alstrom syndrome.
