Target Information
PTGS1 (COX1, Cyclooxygenase 1)은 프로스타글란딘 생합성의 핵심 효소로, dioxygenase 및 peroxidase 활성을 모두 가집니다. PTGS에는 두 가지 isozyme이 있으며, PTGS1은 항상 발현되는 형태이고 PTGS2는 유도형으로 발현 조절 및 조직 분포가 다릅니다.
이 유전자는 PTGS1을 암호화하며, 내피세포의 혈관형성 조절에 관여하고 아스피린과 같은 NSAIDs에 의해 억제됩니다. 세포 간 신호전달 및 조직 항상성 유지에 관여하며, 대체 스플라이싱을 통해 두 가지 전사체를 생성합니다. 각각의 전사체는 사이토카인 및 성장인자에 의해 다르게 조절됩니다.
