Target Information
Cullin 2 (CUL2) is a core component of multiple cullin-RING-based ECS (ElonginB/C-CUL2/5-SOCS-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complexes, which mediate ubiquitination of target proteins. These complexes collaborate with ARIH1 to regulate substrate ubiquitination. The E3 ligase activity depends on cullin neddylation and is inhibited by association with TIP120A/CAND1. ECS(VHL) complex mediates ubiquitination of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF).
