GALNT7 유전자는 GalNAc transferase 7을 암호화하며, GalNAc-transferase 계열에 속합니다. 이 효소는 mucin-type O-linked 단백질 당화의 초기 단계를 조절하며, serine 및 threonine 잔기에 N-acetylgalactosamine을 전달합니다.
