This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to avoid contamination.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Mouse KNG1/Kininogen 1.

Target Information

The Kininogen 1 (KNG1) gene undergoes alternative splicing to generate two proteins:

• High molecular weight kininogen (HMWK) — essential for blood coagulation and kallikrein-kinin system assembly; releases bradykinin, a peptide with multiple physiological effects.
• Low molecular weight kininogen (LMWK) — not involved in blood coagulation.

Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
