For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is a key cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation.
Ubiquitination involves three classes of enzymes:

1. Ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1)
2. Ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2)
3. Ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3)

The UBE2D1 gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family.
This enzyme is related to a stimulator of iron transport (SFT) and is up-regulated in hereditary hemochromatosis.
It also participates in the ubiquitination of tumor-suppressor protein p53 and hypoxia-inducible transcription factor HIF1α, by interacting with E1 and E3 enzymes.
