NOGO 단백질은 소포체(ER) 소관 형성과 안정화에 필수적이며, ER 내막 형태 형성 및 핵막 확장, 핵공 복합체 형성, 핵내막 단백질의 적절한 위치 조절에 관여합니다. 각 이소폼은 조직 특이적 발현에 따라 상이한 기능을 가집니다. Isoform D는 신경세포에서 매우 낮은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
