Target Information
Ribosomes are the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consisting of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. These subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 distinct proteins.
The RPL19 gene encodes a ribosomal protein component of the 60S subunit, belonging to the L19E family. It is located in the cytoplasm, and multiple processed pseudogenes are dispersed throughout the genome.
