Target Information
PIAS (Protein Inhibitor of Activated STAT) 단백질은 STAT, p53, 스테로이드 호르몬 신호 경로 등 다양한 세포 내 경로에서 전사 공동조절자로 중요한 역할을 합니다.
PIAS 단백질 패밀리는 최소 5개의 진화적으로 보존된 유전자를 포함하며, 그 중 하나가 PIAS3입니다.
PIAS 단백질은 유전자 전사 조절 및 SUMO E3 ligase로 작용할 수 있습니다. PIAS3는 STAT3 자극 후 STAT3에 특이적으로 결합하며, 여러 인체 암(폐, 유방, 뇌 종양 등)에서 발현이 증가된 것으로 보고되었습니다.
그러나 anaplastic lymphoma kinase-positive T-cell lymphomas에서는 발현되지 않아, PIAS3가 다양한 조직과 세포 유형에서 여러 역할을 수행함을 시사합니다.
