Target Information
Cell cycle regulated protein ubiquitination and degradation within subcellular domains is essential for normal mitosis progression.
APC10 is a highly conserved component of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a cell cycle-regulated E3 ubiquitin ligase controlling mitosis and G1 phase progression.
APC/C degrades anaphase inhibitors, mitotic cyclins, and spindle-associated proteins to ensure proper mitotic sequence.
APC/C components are expressed at similar levels across tissues and cell lines, functioning as part of a complex.
APC10 may regulate substrate binding to the APC/C complex, similar to coactivators.
