Product Specific Information
- For IHC (PFA-fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Formalin-fixed tissues require heating in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) at 95°C for 45 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
PMEPA1 encodes a transmembrane protein containing a Smad interacting motif (SIM). Its expression is induced by androgens and TGF-β, and the protein suppresses both androgen receptor and TGF-β signaling pathways through interactions with Smad proteins. Overexpression may be associated with various cancers. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
