Target Information
RBP4 단백질은 리포칼린(lipocalin) 계열에 속하며, 혈액 내에서 레티놀(retinol)의 운반체로 작용합니다.
간에서 저장된 레티놀을 말초 조직으로 전달하며, 혈장 내에서는 transthyretin과 복합체를 형성하여 신장 사구체에서의 손실을 방지합니다.
비타민 A 결핍 시 결합 단백질의 분비가 차단되어 표피 세포로의 비타민 A 공급이 저하됩니다.
