Target Information
GBP1 (Guanlyate Binding Protein 1) is a 68 kDa GTPase belonging to the GTPase1 family. Its expression is induced by interferon-γ and other inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1α, IL-1β, and TNF-α. GBP1 expression is also regulated by TLR3 ligands (e.g., poly I:C) and NF-κB/IFNα response elements, indicating TLR pathway involvement. Inverse correlation between GBP1 and MMP-1 expression suggests its role in suppressing angiogenesis and migration, particularly in endothelial cells. GBP1 functions as a regulatory molecule in inflammatory signal transduction and cell migration networks.
