Target Information
BMI-1은 Polycomb group (PcG) 다단백질 복합체 PRC1의 구성 요소로, Hox 유전자 등 다양한 유전자의 전사 억제 상태를 유지하는 데 필요합니다. PRC1 복합체는 크로마틴 리모델링과 히스톤 변형을 통해 작용하며, 히스톤 H2A의 Lys-119 단일 유비퀴틴화를 매개하여 유전적으로 안정된 발현 억제 상태를 유지합니다. PRC1 복합체 내에서 BMI-1은 RNF2/RING2의 E3 유비퀴틴 단백질 리가아제 활성을 촉진하는 데 필요합니다.
