Synaptojanin 2은 inositol-polyphosphate 5-phosphatase family에 속하는 유전자 산물입니다. 이 단백질은 ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 1과 상호작용하여 세포막으로 이동하며, clathrin-mediated endocytosis를 억제합니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 여러 전사체 변형이 생성됩니다.
