The eBioSN5c monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD10 (CALLA, NEP, enkephalinase, Neprilysin), a 100 kDa type II cell surface glycoprotein expressed in most acute lymphoblastic leukemias (ALLs). CD10 acts as a Zn²⁺-dependent metallopeptidase regulating chemotactic and inflammatory processes involving neutrophils. It is expressed in B cells, granulocytes, and bone marrow stromal cells.

Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.5 µg)/test in a final volume of 100 µL.
Laser Compatibility: Excitation 488 nm; Emission 520 nm (Blue Laser).
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD10 (Common Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Antigen, CALLA) is a cell surface enzyme with neutral metalloendopeptidase activity that inactivates various biologically active peptides. It is expressed in lymphoblastic, Burkitt’s, and follicular germinal center lymphomas, immature B cells, breast myoepithelial cells, bile canaliculi, fibroblasts, and kidney/gut epithelial brush borders.

CD10 cleaves peptides at the amino side of hydrophobic residues and inactivates peptide hormones such as glucagon, enkephalins, substance P, neurotensin, oxytocin, and bradykinin. It is a 100 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by a >45 kb gene with alternatively spliced untranslated regions.
