West Nile virus (WNV)는 1999년 미국에서 처음 보고된 감염성 질환으로, 감염된 모기에 의해 전파됩니다. 대부분의 감염자는 무증상이거나 가벼운 증상을 보이며, 발열, 두통, 근육통, 피부 발진, 림프절 부종 등이 나타날 수 있습니다.
WNV NS2B-NS3 프로테아제는 바이러스 복제에 필수적인 단백질로, 중요한 약물 표적 단백질로 알려져 있습니다.
