Target Information
ATF6 beta (CREBL1)는 ER 스트레스 시 발생하는 비접힘 단백질 반응(Unfolded Protein Response, UPR) 경로에서 작용하는 전사인자입니다.
이 단백질은 ATF6-alpha와 함께 ER 스트레스 반응 요소에 결합하여 UPR 관련 유전자의 전사를 활성화합니다.
정상 상태에서는 소포체 막에 존재하지만, 스트레스 조건에서는 N-말단 도메인이 절단되어 핵으로 이동합니다.
두 가지 전사 변형체가 보고되었으며, Creb/ATF 서브패밀리의 bZip 전사인자 슈퍼패밀리와 유사성을 갖습니다.
세포질과 핵 모두에 위치하며, 유전자는 염색체 6의 MHC class III 영역에 존재합니다.
