POLR2I는 진핵세포에서 mRNA를 합성하는 RNA polymerase II의 서브유닛 중 하나입니다.
이 서브유닛은 두 개의 다른 폴리머레이스 서브유닛과 함께 DNA 결합 도메인을 형성하며, DNA 템플릿이 RNA로 전사되는 홈을 구성합니다.
POLR2I는 두 개의 zinc finger motif를 가지며, 보존된 cysteine 잔기를 포함해 zinc 결합 활성을 가지고 있습니다.
서로 다른 두 항체를 이용한 Western blot에서 동일한 분자량을 확인하였습니다.
