This TULY56 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD56 (Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule, NCAM).
CD56 is a glycosylated transmembrane molecule expressed by neurons and involved in homotypic neural cell adhesion.
In hematopoietic cells, CD56 is expressed on NK cells and NKT cells.

• TULY56 does not block CMSSB binding, recognizing a different epitope.
• Performs better after fixation/permeabilization than CMSSB.
• Crossreacts with Rhesus macaque.
• Reported application: flow cytometric analysis.
• Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.2 µg)/test.
• Each product includes 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate and 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer.

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are incompatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains with NovaFluor dyes.
• Use CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) for optimal staining.
• Add 5 µL of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer per sample before combining with cells.
• For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton technology with engineered fluorescent signatures to minimize spillover and spread.
Excitation: 552 nm; Emission: 690 nm; Laser: 561 nm (Yellow).

Target Information

CD56 (NCAM) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin family, expressed in neural and hematopoietic cells.
Functions include cell adhesion, migration, axonal growth, and synaptic plasticity.
Polysialic modification reduces CD56-mediated adhesion.
Binds extracellular matrix components such as laminin and integrins.
Expressed in neuroectodermal-derived tissues and tumors (retinoblastoma, medulloblastoma, astrocytoma, neuroblastoma).
Used as a neuroendocrine marker for high-sensitivity detection of neuroendocrine and ovarian granulosa cell tumors.
Associated diseases include rabies and blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasms.
