Target Information
Glucose is fundamental to mammalian cell metabolism. Multiple glucose transporter isoforms (GLUTs) respond to insulin and IGF1 signaling.
GLUT3 is expressed in spermatids of testis with active spermatogenesis, placental trophoblast membranes, and neurons in the brain.
GLUT3 staining is also observed in human cancers such as ovary, lung, and testis.
