Corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH; 122560) is a 41-amino acid peptide synthesized in the hypothalamus, playing a role in neuroregulation, stress response, and immune challenge.
Corticotropin Releasing Factor Receptor 2 (CRHR2) is the receptor of CRH. Expression of CRHR2 has been reported in various regions of the brain as well as in placenta, umbilical vein, heart, epididymis, gastrointestinal tract, adrenal, and skeletal muscle.
