Product Specific Information
For maximum recovery, please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended, as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted.
For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots; aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended.
Please never store a kinase diluted.
If properly stored at -80°C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase.
Protein Form: Catalytic
Target Information
DDR1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase activated by collagen and regulates adhesion, cell migration, and other cellular processes. Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) are key mediators of cell–microenvironment communication, influencing growth, differentiation, and metabolism.
The DDR1 gene encodes an RTK widely expressed in epithelial cells and activated by multiple collagen types (I–VI). It shares homology with the discoidin I protein from Dictyostelium discoideum in its extracellular domain.
Expression is mainly restricted to epithelial tissues such as kidney, lung, gastrointestinal tract, and brain, and is overexpressed in several human tumors including breast, ovarian, esophageal, and pediatric brain cancers.
The gene is located on chromosome 6p21.3 near several HLA class I genes, and alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
