Target Information
Apoptosis (programmed cell death)는 다세포 생물의 정상적인 세포 분화 및 발달 과정에서 일어나는 현상입니다.
TNF (tumor necrosis factor) 및 Fas ligand와 같은 TNF 계열의 사이토카인이 세포 사멸 수용체 TNFR1 및 Fas를 통해 apoptosis를 유도합니다.
이 과정에는 death domain (DD)을 포함한 어댑터 단백질과 ICE/CED-3 프로테아제 계열이 관여합니다.
최근 Daxx(death associated protein 6)라는 새로운 DD 포함 단백질이 mouse, human, monkey에서 클로닝되었으며, Fas death domain과 결합하여 Fas 유도 apoptosis를 강화하고 JNK 경로를 활성화시키는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
Daxx는 다양한 조직에서 발현되어 Fas 신호 전달 경로에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
