Target Information
The proto-oncogene PIM1 is upregulated in prostate cancer.
PIM1, belonging to the Serine/Threonine protein kinase family, plays a role in signal transduction in blood cells.
It may affect chromatin structure or silencing by phosphorylating HP1 gamma/CBX3.
PIM1 is expressed primarily in hematopoietic and germ line cells.
