Target Information
PIM3 serine/threonine kinase (PIM-3 oncogene) belongs to a family of proto-oncogenes. PIM3 is expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma and plays a key role in the proliferation of human hepatoma cell lines. It is also expressed in human pancreatic cancer cells, where it phosphorylates BAD to inhibit Bad-mediated apoptosis. PIM3 is widely expressed, except in colon, thymus, and small intestine.
