PAK4는 세린/트레오닌 p21 활성화 키나아제로, 액틴 세포골격 재구성과 필로포디아 형성에 관여합니다.
PAK 단백질은 두 그룹으로 나뉘며, PAK4는 Cdc42/Rac 결합에 의해 활성화되지 않는 그룹에 속합니다.
PAK4와 Cdc42Hs의 공동 발현은 필로포디아 유도 및 액틴 중합을 통해 세포골격 재조직을 유도합니다.
또한 PAK4는 배아 생존과 신경 발달에 필수적이며, 암세포의 부착 비의존적 성장 및 생존 경로 활성화에도 관련되어 있습니다.
