Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This affinity-purified antibody is directed against human UBC13 protein. A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with UBC13 protein from various species including human, dog, bovine, Xenopus laevis, Xenopus tropicalis, zebrafish, rat, mouse, chimpanzee, macaque, and chicken based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.
Target Information
The UBE2V1-UBE2N and UBE2V2-UBE2N heterodimers catalyze the synthesis of non-canonical Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin chains, which do not lead to protein degradation by the proteasome.
They mediate transcriptional activation of target genes and play roles in cell cycle control, differentiation, and error-free DNA repair.
These complexes act with E3 ligases (HLTF, SHPRH, RNF5, RNF135, and UB2V1) in Lys-63-linked polyubiquitination processes related to DNA repair, immune response, and inflammatory gene activation.
UBE2V1-UBE2N also participates in viral RNA-dependent polyubiquitination of RIG-I/DDX58 and TRAF6, contributing to interferon beta production and IL17A-mediated signaling.
