APLNR (Apelin Receptor)는 G protein-coupled receptor 유전자 패밀리에 속하는 수용체로, angiotensin receptor와 유사하지만 apelin receptor로 작용하여 adenylate cyclase 활성을 억제하고 혈압 조절에 관여합니다.
심혈관계 및 중추신경계 기능, 포도당 대사, 배아 및 종양 혈관 신생, HIV-1 coreceptor로서의 역할 등 다양한 생리적 과정에 관여합니다.
두 가지 전사 변이가 대체 스플라이싱을 통해 확인되었습니다.
