Target Information
IL-10은 주로 단핵구(monocyte)에서 생성되는 사이토카인 단백질을 암호화하며, 일부 림프구에서도 발현됩니다.
이 사이토카인은 면역 조절 및 염증 반응에 다양한 영향을 미치며, Th1 사이토카인, MHC class II 항원, 그리고 대식세포의 공자극 분자 발현을 억제합니다.
또한 B 세포의 생존, 증식 및 항체 생산을 촉진하고, NF-kappa B 활성을 차단하며 JAK-STAT 신호 경로 조절에도 관여합니다.
마우스의 knockout 연구 결과, IL-10은 장내 면역 조절에 필수적인 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났습니다.
이 유전자의 변이는 HIV-1 감염 및 류머티즘 관절염에 대한 감수성 증가와 관련이 있습니다.
관련 질환으로는 Graft-Versus-Host Disease와 Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1이 보고되었습니다.
