Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

TIM3 (Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2, HAVCR2, T-cell immunoglobulin, mucin-domain containing-3) is a 281-amino-acid, Type I Th1-specific cell surface glycoprotein expressed on terminally differentiated CD4⁺ Th1 and CD8⁺ Tc1 cells.
It includes an IgV-like domain, a mucin-like domain in the extracellular region, and a conserved tyrosine phosphorylation motif in the cytoplasmic region.
TIM3 plays a role in macrophage activation, autoimmune disease induction, and regulation of Th1-mediated immune responses, contributing to immune tolerance.
Pathological significance has been noted in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a Th1-dependent autoimmune disease.
