PA1-4561 detects mu Opioid Receptor (MOR-1) from human, mouse, and rat samples.
This antibody has been successfully used in Western blotting applications.
It detects a dominant band of ~46 kDa representing the monomer form of MOR-1 and may also detect dimers or trimers due to common hetero- and homodimerization.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide comprising residues N(386)–P(400) of human, mouse, and rat MOR-1.
Target Information
The OPRM1 gene encodes the mu opioid receptor, the primary site of action for commonly used opioids such as morphine, heroin, fentanyl, and methadone.
It also serves as the receptor for endogenous opioid peptides including beta-endorphin and enkephalins.
OPRM1 is a membrane protein belonging to the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family.
Three major opioid receptor types exist — mu, kappa, and delta — each with distinct pharmacologic profiles.
