CNOT4는 E3 유비퀴틴 리가아제 활성을 가지는 575 아미노산 단백질로, 단백질 변형 및 유비퀴틴화 과정에 관여합니다. C4C4 타입의 zinc finger 도메인, RNA 인식 모티프, 핵 내 이동 신호를 포함하며, CCR4-NOT (CAF1) 복합체의 구성 요소로서 전사 조절에 관여합니다. CNOT4는 CNOT1 및 E2 유비퀴틴 리가아제와 상호작용하며, DNA 손상 시 ATM 및 ATR 인식 부위에서 인산화되는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
