Target Information
Smoothelin은 평활근세포(SMC) 세포골격의 구성 요소입니다. 이 단백질에 대한 항체는 SMC 분화를 모니터링하는 데 유용한 도구로 사용됩니다. Smoothelin은 완전히 분화된(수축성) SMC에서만 발현되며, RNA 및 단백질 분석 결과 여러 종에서 보존되어 있습니다. Myofibroblast, myoepithelial, skeletal 및 cardiac muscle 세포에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 공초점 레이저 현미경 및 형질전환 연구 결과, smoothelin은 desmin 및 vimentin과는 다른 섬유성 구조를 가지며 actin stress fiber와 공위합니다. 두 가지 조직 특이적 isoform이 확인되었으며, 59 kDa (내장 SMC 특이적) 및 100 kDa (혈관 SMC 특이적) 형태가 있습니다. 인간 smoothelin 유전자는 염색체 22에 위치한 단일 복제 유전자에 의해 암호화됩니다.
