Product Specific Information

The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb).
CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors. It associates with CD61 (gpIIIa, integrin beta III) to form a receptor involved in platelet adhesion and aggregation.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse platelets (≤ 0.5 µg/test, 100 µL final volume). Cell number should be determined empirically (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Careful titration recommended for optimal performance.

Light Sensitivity: Tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
Excitation: 488–561 nm
Emission: 775 nm

Target Information

CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) consists of two subunits (120 kDa alpha and 23 kDa beta) that interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form a functional adhesive receptor.
It mediates platelet aggregation and binds to multiple proteins including von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin.
CD41 is mainly expressed in the megakaryocyte-platelet lineage and during early hematopoietic differentiation.
Associated diseases include Glansmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet type-16 bleeding disorder.
