This antibody detects endogenous levels of total SLC22A12 protein.
Target Information
SLC22A12 is required for efficient urate re-absorption in the kidney and regulates blood urate levels. It mediates saturable urate uptake by facilitating the exchange of urate against organic anions. The encoded protein is a urate transporter and urate-anion exchanger, functioning as an integral membrane protein primarily found in the kidney. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
