Reconstitute the lyophilized powder with deionized water (or equivalent) to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
The lyophilized product remains stable up to 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Upon reconstitution, it can be stored for 2–3 weeks at 2–8°C or for up to 12 months at -20°C or below.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.

Target Information

Ustekinumab is a human immunoglobulin (IgG1 kappa) monoclonal antibody directed against interleukin (IL)-12 and IL-23, cytokines involved in immune and inflammatory responses.
It was generated via recombinant human IL-12 immunization of human Ig transgenic mice.
Ustekinumab functions as a targeted biologic disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (bDMARD) used for managing inflammatory conditions involving IL-12 and IL-23 signaling pathways.
IL-12 and IL-23 are heterodimeric cytokines that evoke immune responses such as natural killer cell activation and CD4+ T-cell differentiation.
They play roles in chronic inflammatory diseases including psoriasis and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
IL-12 and IL-23 modulate lymphocyte function, particularly Th1 and Th17 subsets, which can further activate pro-inflammatory mediators such as TNFα and IFNγ driving innate and adaptive immunity.
