Target Information
Tachykinins are an evolutionarily conserved family of peptide neurotransmitters sharing the C-terminal sequence Phe-X-Gly-Leu-Met-NH₂. Mammalian tachykinins include substance P, neurokinin A (NKA), and neurokinin B (NKB), which act through specific receptors. These peptides are involved in physiological and pathological processes such as inflammation, pain, migraine, and allergy-induced asthma.
