Target Information
이 유전자는 cytokine superfamily에 속하는 hematopoietin/interferon-class receptor를 암호화합니다.
CNTF-specific alpha subunit으로서 LIFR 및 gp130과 함께 heterotrimer CNTF receptor complex를 형성합니다.
이 수용체는 glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage로 막에 부착되어 있으며, immunoglobulin-like C2-type domain과 fibronectin type-III domain을 포함합니다.
CNTF가 먼저 alpha 구성요소에 결합한 후 gp130과 LIFR beta를 모집하여 tripartite receptor complex를 형성합니다.
이 신호전달은 다양한 신경세포 유형에서 유전자 발현, 세포 생존 또는 분화를 유도합니다.
Alternative splicing이 관찰되었으며, 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 두 가지 변형이 확인되었습니다.
