Target Information
The beta III-tubulin isoform is dominantly expressed in cells of neuronal origin and serves as one of the earliest markers of neuronal differentiation. It is widely used as a specific probe for neuronal cells and tumors derived from them. Although most abundant in neuronal cells, beta III-tubulin has also been detected in Sertoli cells of the testis and transiently in certain non-neuronal embryonic tissues.
