Target Information
PAK2 (serine/threonine-protein kinase PAK2) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in multiple signaling pathways, including cytoskeleton regulation, cell motility, cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and proliferation. It functions downstream of the small GTPases CDC42 and RAC1. Activation by CDC42 and RAC1 induces conformational changes and autophosphorylation on serine/threonine residues. Full-length PAK2 promotes cell survival and growth. PAK proteins are key effectors linking Rho GTPases to cytoskeletal reorganization and nuclear signaling.
