Target Information
Zyxin은 세포가 세포외기질에 부착할 수 있도록 하는 actin-rich 구조인 focal adhesion에 관여합니다. 이 단백질은 zinc-binding phosphoprotein으로, focal adhesion과 actin cytoskeleton에 집중되어 있습니다. Zyxin은 N-말단의 proline-rich domain과 C-말단의 세 개의 LIM domain을 가지고 있으며, 각각 신호전달 단백질과의 상호작용 및 단백질-단백질 결합에 관여합니다. Zyxin은 세포 부착에 의해 유도되는 유전자 발현 변화를 매개하는 신호전달 경로에서 메신저 역할을 하며, actin bundle의 세포골격 구조 조절에 영향을 줄 수 있습니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 동일한 isoform을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변형체가 생성됩니다.
